Farewell Norrath ... It is with a sad heart that I make this update today our very last update as an active raiding guild in Everquest. Primordial Fury has been around for almost 3 years now we have seen many glorious victories and disheartening defeats and yet our will stayed strong as we met all of the goals that we set out to accomplish: raiding, fair loot distribution, and exploration of new content. PF raids were the most exciting time that I have ever spent in this game. There were times, when all odds were against us, and we still managed to succeed. Our members not only met but also exceeded almost every single goal that Vlad and I set forth. I was always in awe of the spirit of this guild and the dedication of our members and this is something that I will NEVER forget. PF was not built as a friendship guild rather a guild with a solid purpose to raid. Over the years however, many of us became good friends, and that is why there is a sadness in me as I announce the official retirement of PF from raiding in Everquest and therefore, the end of PF in Everquest. Most of us have been playing this game for much longer than 3 years and we have seen the game evolve and change. Although PF has gone through 2 rebuilding phases in the past, this time, we felt there was not enough interest in the game left to drive us through yet a third rebuilding phase. Many of our long standing members have grown tired of the EQ game itself, and as they decided to hang up their bows, wands, guitars and so forth, Vladimoir and I also began to find it harder and harder to muster up the interest to log on to the game for raiding. Rather than see PF fade away we decided to call it quits on Everquest and finish as strong as we started. Many of us played this game from the heart and to push forward while our hearts were no longer in it is something that we did not want to do it would be a disservice to our members who still have a strong interest in the game. I salute all PF members for the hard work and dedication that they have shown to us through these past 3 years. Vlad and I had lost interest in this game a long time ago, with the exception raiding and it was thanks to our wonderful members that we looked forward to raiding every night. It was due to our members, that we continued to enjoy the game and have fun. I also salute all of the guilds we have had the pleasure of working with in this game during these last 3 years. We may not have always gotten along, but it certainly made the game interesting and challenging. I want to specifically mention Coalescense one of the guilds that I have a deep respect for, and want to wish them many good adventures to come and much success as you continue to move through Norrath. So what now? As for Primordial Fury, we may not be on Everquest but we are far from gone. We have taken an interest in World of Warcraft (we are currently on the Lothar server) and have therefore moved our guild activities to that game. For now, we are planning to enjoy the game and take a much deserved break from raiding, however, we will begin raiding again within a couple of months, as soon as we are able to get our characters leveled and have had a chance to do some exploring. To those members of PF who are staying in Everquest, we wish you all the luck in the world and hope that you are able to find a new home that is worthy of your talents and spirit. To those players who have moved to WoW with us, I look forward to kicking some Horde ass with you when we begin to raid. /Salute |

Exploration .... PF has been very busy exploring in OOW! Since GoD has been boring us to tears, we decided to give it a rest for now and see what OOW has to offer. And we found out it has plenty!
We started with Pyrique Redwing
in Wall of Slaughter - this is a fun fast encounter but its luck of the
draw. The loot ranges from ok to very crappy, but he does drop runes on
a fairly regular basis, so it is still worth the few minutes it takes
to mop him up. My screenshot is a bit dark - but here are some shots of
him dead and alive: |
|
Moving on, we also took a shot at Zun' Muram Volklana in The Ruined City of Dranik. This is a really fun encounter we have done a few times now, and the loot is definately worth it (as usual we have stuck the mob into the wall, so all you can see is are his feet lol)... |

He dropped a dagger for us that was fairly nice compared to PoP stuff:
And after all of that, we decided to take a run at the King himself. Yes, I admit it was a bit ballsy on our side, but what the hell! Well, it was certainly something "different" to do... we haven't killed him yet - and this one will take some time to figure out - but what a nice change of pace from the crap in GoD...
We have also been working on the Muramite single group trials - unlike the GoD trials, these are actually fun! We also plan to start working on the guild trials as well. Last but certainly not least, we have several folks that have newly completed 1.5 epics - there are too many to post Screenshots for all - but they are: Targa (Magician ), Eldimari (Druid), Tienee (Beastlord), Tyrazlee (Monk), Prolgara (cleric), Ridean (Shaman), Keljorian (warrior), and even Floozie (ok so she's alt, but she raids!). Now that we have been able to get our Plane of Time farming down to only one day, it opens the rest of our raid time to explore OOW!

| Epics... wuwu!
Well I should have posted this last week but I didn't have time - so here it is. PF is proud to announce that two 1.5 epics have already been completed! I think (but I am not sure) that these are both server firsts! Warrior Epic - Completed by Vladimoir on Friday, 09/24/2004
Enchanter Epic - Completed by Jillianna on Saturday, 09/25/2004
BIG CONGRATS! Several other members are very close to completion as well - but I wanted to send a big congrats to Vlad and Jill on a PF (and possibly Mith Marr) first!
On a side note, our recruitment push was extremely successfull! Our flagging requirements for applicants are back in force because we are almost done with our backflagging. Thank you all who applied, and to all members for helping us get through this very boring although successful push!
